Standard Lithium is focused on unlocking the value of existing large-scale US based lithium bearing brine resources that can be brought into production quickly. The company believes new lithium production can be brought on stream rapidly by minimizing project risks at selection stage; resource, political & geographic, regulatory & permitting, and by leveraging advances in lithium extraction technologies and processes.
The Company is currently focused on the immediate exploration and development of the Bristol Dry Lake Lithium Project located in the Mojave region of San Bernardino County, California; the location has significant infrastructure in-place, with easy road and rail access, abundant electricity and water sources, and is already permitted for extensive brine extraction and processing activities. The Company is also commencing due diligence and resource evaluation on 30,000+ acres of brine leases located in the Smackover Formation in southern Arkansas.

Mr. Mintak has a global network of industry contacts and is a pioneer in the rapidly evolving lithium space. He was one of the founders of Pure Energy Minerals, served as the company’s CEO from 2013 to 2016 and most recently as Executive Chairman, under Mr. Mintak’s leadership, Pure Energy Minerals was recognized as the top mining company in the 2016 TSX Venture 50. During his tenure with Pure Energy Minerals he built a world-class team, launched multiple exploration and development programs, and oversaw the development of disruptive extraction process work.

Dr. Robinson most recently served as Chief Operating Officer and board member for Pure Energy Minerals, where he was responsible for leading the first Inferred Resource assessment for a lithium brine deposit in North America, in accordance with 43-101 guidelines. During his tenure at that company, he was instrumental in developing innovative exploration, sampling and assessment techniques for lithium brine resources, and was responsible for developing a world-class lithium brine process engineering team. This team successfully developed and tested efficient and effective modern brine processing techniques that will help shape the way in which lithium products are extracted from brine in the future. Prior to joining Pure Energy in 2014, Andy held a series of senior technical and executive management roles with publicly listed companies in the energy, power and engineering sectors, and has been responsible for successfully taking projects from inception to production while developing sustained corporate growth. Andy is an experienced geoscientist with 20+ years of experience, a PhD in Geochemistry from the University of Bristol, UK, and has worked on a wide range of projects in the resource, power and energy sectors in Europe, Africa, and North and South America.

Ms. Norman is a Chartered Professional Accountant with extensive experience in financial reporting for exploration-stage resource companies. She previously held the position of Controller for Strata Gold Corporation (a subsidiary of Victoria Gold Corp.) and Tintina Resources Inc. Ms. Norman currently holds the position of Interim Chief Financial Officer for Solidus Gold Inc., Asia Base Metals Inc. and Mantra Solar Systems Inc.

Mr. Spanjers is a Professional Geologist with 36 years of experience. He has worked in various capacities in the natural resource sector, primarily with an expertise in lithium brine project development. He holds a Master of Science degree from North Carolina State University, is a Registered Member of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration (SME), has authored several NI 43-101 technical assessment reports, and is a Qualified Person (QP) per NI 43-101 definition. His experience includes 10 years with FMC in lithium pegmatites and brines and during that period, Ray worked with an FMC team that evaluated the lithium brines of most Argentinean salars, which led to the selection and development of the Fenix operation on Salar de Hombre Muerto. He was Manager of Exploration for Rodinia Lithium Inc. from 2010 – 2014 on the Diablillos Project in Salta Province, Argentina (now optioned to Lithium X) and the Clayton Valley Lithium Project in Nevada.
Mr. Alvaro is a co-founder of Standard Lithium, has over two decades working primarily in the international capital markets. The breadth of his capital markets experience includes roles within wealth management, corporate finance, institutional sales, M&A, venture capital and private equity. Over the years, Mr. Alvaro has developed a passion for helping companies navigate from the private sector to the public markets. To-date, Anthony Alvaro has helped a number of companies across multiple industry sectors raise in excess of $500 million in aggregate. He has also held executive and board positions with a number of public and private companies.
Mr. Barber was a Co-founder and Managing Partner of a boutique M&A advisory firm in Calgary from 2012 to 2016. Prior thereto, he was an investment banker with Raymond James Limited for four years and previously held investment banking and equity research positions at Canaccord Genuity Corp. Jeff began his career as an Economist with Deloitte LLP. Throughout his career, Mr. Barber has worked closely with various public company Boards and executive teams to assist in institutional capital initiatives and advise on go-public transactions, valuations and M&A mandates. Mr. Barber currently acts as a Chief Financial Officer and Director for a privately held medical marijuana company and the Chief Financial Officer for a private company pursuing South American oil and gas exploration and production opportunities. Jeff Barber is a CFA charterholder and holds a Masters degree in Finance and Economics from the University of Alberta.
Mike is a chemical engineer with 40 years experience in the mining and mineral processing industries, including tenures at Mintek and SGS. Dr. Dry’s specialty involves mass and energy balance modeling, which has been fundamental in helping develop scaleable process flowsheets for lithium brine projects in recent years.
Dr. Molnar is a chemical engineer and solvent and ion-exchange specialist with over 35 years experience in hydrometallurgical bench and pilot plant testing. He has successfully built and operated more than 60 pilot plants around the globe, extracting a wide range of metallic elements.
Dr. Hein is a recognised expert in the interface between reaction optimisation and engineering design, to allow for commercial chemical manufacturing. Jason has developed new robotic tools to visualise and control reactions as they happen in real time and is focused on optimising selective crystallisation processes that extract high-purity lithium salts from raw-brine mixtures.
Larry is the Principal at Membrane Development Specialists LLC and has over 30 years experience in the application of membrane technology to selectively remove species of interest, including lithium, from brine mixtures. Larry has successfully built pilot and commercial scale membrane rigs for mining clients around the globe.
Dr. Kennepohl is a Stanford-educated physical inorganic chemist, with 20 years experience in the analysis and quantification of chemical species in complex mixtures such as brines. Pierre provides specific expertise in the characterisation of battery-grade lithium products.
Standard Lithium has partnered with respected chemists, Prof. Jason Hein and Prof. Pierre Kennepohl at the University of British Columbia to look at entirely new ways to extract lithium from brine. Prof. Hein and Kennepohl’s work focuses on employing in-situ kinetic reactions with a primary focus on developing techniques for preferential crystallization and the real time analysis of final battery grade lithium products.
SGS is a global leader in process testing and development at their Centre of Excellence in Lakefield, Ontario. Standard Lithium Ltd has partnered with SGS Lakefield in a large-scale process-testing program designed to optimize lithium extraction using combinations of specialized membrane/solvent extraction (SX)/ion exchange (IX) technologies.
The research team at Lilac features world class experts in material science and chemical engineering. Standard Lithium has partnered with the Lilac team to develop a novel method of lithium extraction; using a proprietary ion exchange bead that can efficiently recover lithium from a variety of brine sources.
